Restoration of Trinity’s stained-glass windows began in mid-February 2025, with the removal of the Martin Luther window in the narthex by a crew from Gaytee-Palmer Stained Glass. In the weeks following two other windows were removed, the 3-lancet window in the east side of the chancel, and the Rose window above the organ. After removal the windows at taken to Gaytee-Palmer’s shop in Minneapolis for restoration.
As shown below, nine additional windows have been prioritized by the church council.
Funding is needed for the windows labeled 4-12.
As Trinity’s stained-glass windows are restored By Gaytee-Palmer in Minneapolis they proceed through an intricate nine-step process to ensure that the windows will last another 125 years. Each window takes about three months to be restored, from removal to reinstallation. Their attention to detail is remarkable! These photos show some of the steps of restoration.
Once reinstalled, these windows will last for another hundred years! The windows are important assets to Trinity: spiritually, artistically, historically, and financially. Over the past 123 years these amazing and unique works of art have lifted us, creating a spiritual atmosphere in the sanctuary. They are a link to the congregation’s past and are an important element of Trinity’s upcoming 125th anniversary. They are a capital asset that will appreciate financially.
Our mission is to CONNECT, GROW & SERVE with the love of Jesus Christ.
