ABOUT THE ENDOWMENT FUND
Christian stewardship begins and ends with God: God’s gifts, God’s wishes, God’s abundance.
In an act of Christian stewardship Trinity created an Endowment Fund in 2001. The first grants
were issued beginning in 2007, and since then over $568,000 has been awarded as grants. The
Fund exists as one way to for members to gratefully and joyfully offer what they have, carrying
out the work of the Gospel.
The Endowment Fund is governed by Trinity’s Constitution and a continuing resolution. The Fund
provides a way for the church to receive financial gifts of various types, encourage bequests
and gifts, and to distribute income from the Fund. An Endowment Committee elected by the
congregation is responsible for overseeing the Fund.
The Endowment Fund is managed by the ELCA Endowment Fund Pooled Trust. Each year 6% of
the Fund is available to be distributed. 20% of the amount available is targeted in these
categories, with 20% reserved for distribution at the Committee's discretion:
Each year all members are encouraged prayerfully consider entities that would extend Trinity’s
stewardship and submit applications in these categories. The Endowment Committee reviews all applications in determining the distribution of funds. Click on each to see the application for
that category.
Our mission is to CONNECT, GROW & SERVE with the love of Jesus Christ.
